September 18, 2024 – On Sept. 3, budtenders and inventory workers at The Healing Side, a cannabis microbusiness in Atlantic City, N.J., joined UFCW Local 152.
The workers contacted UFCW Local 152 in late July, seeking advice about getting union representation. After some discussion, the workers decided the best course of action was to demand union recognition themselves. Following the labor peace agreement, the workers organized via card check.
